About Two's A Crowd (CIO)
We're a registered charity (CIO) theatre company based in and around Stamford and Peterborough.
We produce fast paced, fun, and engaging performances that both recognises and challenges theatrical conventions.
Our objectives are to promote theatre and socialisation, and to provide volunteering opportunities and skills development for the next generation of theatre makers.
We create educational, engaging and innovative work that reflects the versatility of our creative team, incorporating techniques such as multi-rolling, Commedia's physical comedy, and improvisation. Our performances are designed to be accessible to local communities, fostering social connection, wellbeing, and active participation in the arts.
By utilising local venues, partnering with educational organisations, and creating opportunities for local artists, we aim to support the development of creative talent while strengthening community engagement and ensuring that theatre remains an inclusive, vibrant part of local cultural life.

Two's A Crowd Productions was started by our two founders Rob and Joe with the intention of recognising and celebrating all the roles people undertake in theatre making on and off stage.
Often creative people wear many 'hats' and do many jobs to bring a production
to life. Whilst our team have 'job titles' we all work as directors, producers,
writers, stage managers, designers, technicians and more simultaneously...
We are very excited to share our next chapter as a registered charity (CIO) with our local community and continue to support and develop new work with local artists.
Our Co-Chairs Lucy and Amber have been elected to guide our company into this new stage, brining fair guidance, expertise and logistical management.

Lucy Anthony – Co-Chair of Trustees

Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Drama (First Class), MA in Events Management, Level 6 Diploma in IAEG

Expertise: Technical Design, Project Logistics, Regulatory Compliance.
Lucy combines a rigorous background in theatrical production with advanced qualifications in logistics and compliance. Holding a First-Class degree in Drama and an MA in Events Management, she possesses the specialized technical knowledge required to manage large-scale theatrical projects from inception to execution. Lucy's formal degree included a focused study on the history of theatre spaces and the evolution of stage technologies.
Lucy's technical credits include managing high-profile productions, such as the historic adaptation of Shakespeare's King John staged at Newark Castle 2016. Her Level 6 qualification in IAEG reinforces her capability in executive administration, procedural guidance, and compliance.
Within the organization, Lucy oversees comprehensive Stage Management and Technical Design (lighting and sound), ensuring all works are technically viable and executed to professional standards.
Rob Anthony – Treasurer, Founder & Trustee

Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Drama (First Class), MA in Creative and Cultural Industries Management, PGCE.

Expertise: Production Management, Script Analysis, Theatrical Pedagogy, Directing.
Rob brings extensive academic and practical expertise in both performance and cultural asset management to the board. His MA in Creative and Cultural Industries Management equips him with the essential skills required for charitable governance, resource allocation, and strategic oversight. His academic study focused extensively on performance theory and dramaturgy, as well as research into the physical theatre lineages of Commedia dell’arte and classical farce, rendering him highly informed of historical theatrical contexts. Rob applies this historical knowledge when adapting texts or programming repertoire, ensuring that staging choices explicitly illuminate the literary history of the source material to help educate the public. His practical industry experience includes directing for the National Youth Theatre Connections Festival and working alongside the Royal Shakespeare Company’s national ‘Schools’ Associate Programme’. As an academic, actor, producer, writer and director Rob possesses the advanced literary and structural analysis skills required to rigorously evaluate scripts for their objective artistic merit and bring these to life with his practical expertise.
Amber Jeffery – Co-Chair of Trustees

Expertise: Resource Management, Visual and Spatial Design.
Amber provides the board with vital skills in visual curation, asset management, and commercial operations. Graduating with First-Class honours in Art & Design, she has developed a highly disciplined understanding of visual aesthetics, textile fabrication, and spatial design to best engage audiences' imaginations.
Her academic curriculum embedded a rigorous study of art history, design movements, and material culture across different eras. This specialized knowledge means Amber is uniquely qualified to evaluate the historical authenticity and stylistic accuracy of our visual production elements.
Beyond her artistic practice, Amber is an established entrepreneur, having successfully founded and operated her own hand-crafted homeware company. Amber applies these combined skills to oversee financial resources and guide the procurement of staging, costumes, and props, ensuring all selected works are fiscally viable and executed to a high visual and technical standard.
Joe Giggs – Founder & Trustee

Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Drama (First Class).

Expertise: Artistic Direction, Movement & Fight Direction, Directorial Analysis.
Joe provides important technical and artistic oversight to the trustee board. Holding a First-Class honours degree in Drama, Joe specializes in theatrical direction and ensemble performance. His background includes directing for the National Youth Theatre Connections Festival and instructing at the Wildcats Theatre School, giving him concrete experience in translating complex theatrical techniques into structured learning environments. Through his formal degree, Joe undertook vast research into historical contexts relevant to modern theatre through modules such as 'History of Performance', 'Practitioners in practice' and 'Shakespeare'. This comprehensive grounding in historical performance methods allows him to embed specific, traditional movement vocabularies into the company's work. By doing so, he ensures that the physical staging acts as an educational showcase of historical performance disciplines for the audience. Joe’s artistic expertise extends to physical theatre, choreography, and fight direction, which is essential to upholding the precision and technical rigor required by the company's focus on physical comedy. His formal training allows him to evaluate and select scripts that challenge performers technically and educate audiences on the mechanics of performance.
Glen O' Gorman - Trustee

Expertise: Over a decade working with local theatre organisations, CIC's and directing young people. Physical Theatre, Choreography, Performance Standards, Classical and Modern Texts.
Glen brings robust, specialized experience in performance and movement choreography to the artistic selection panel. Having performed a wide range of demanding classical and contemporary roles—including Shakespeare's Romeo, Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers, and Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps—Glen has a deep, practical understanding of character development and text analysis. His professional actor training and extensive career working with local CIC's, Youth Theatre organisations and Theatre Companies have provided him with an intense, practical knowledge of performance styles across theatre history, as well as a rich understanding of adapting and conveying texts to young people. Glen relies on this historical literacy to ensure that the stylistic choices made in rehearsals accurately honor or deliberately subvert historical conventions, transforming the performance into a live masterclass that exposes the audience to diverse theatrical periods. His work as a director and movement choreographer for the National Youth Theatre Connections Festival for over a decade equips him with the exact technical vocabulary needed to evaluate physical theatre scripts, ensuring that new submissions possess the structural and physical precision required to meet the charity's artistic and educational benchmarks.
Beyond our individual roles, our Trustees are avid theatre goers and as such have an up to date understanding of modern and historical theatre.
